10 March 2006
Tenaya was delivered to Bruinisse, The Netherlands today (by truck from Sweden). The weather was rainy and cold, but it was so exciting to finally see her completed. Well, almost completed. She was in the water but with no mast, no pulpits, no lifelines or sails, with lines and electronics stored in the cabin. The Hallberg-Rassy dealer in Bruinisse, Nova Yachts, will complete all the preparation work over the next 2 weeks.
Tenaya arrived in exactly nine months from the time we placed the order. The delivery date they quoted last June for completion in Sweden was 8 March. Hallberg-Rassy has a reputation for always delivering on time. We visited the Hallberg-Rassy yard when she was about half way complete. See Tenaya in December 2005
We will visit again in one week, when much of the rigging work has been completed, but while they are connecting many of the electronic items.
